*Please note: Tentative schedule is 6 days on, 1 day off 12 hour shifts. Project Length is Approximately 1-2 Months Long.
Responsibilities
*Ensure that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and procedures.
*Conduct health and safety inspections, observations, audits, compliance monitoring and investigations as required.
*Assist in weekly & monthly documentation reports for our clients.
*Assist in the development of HSE Statistics and Metrics
*Provide leadership, guidance and advice for maintaining workplace health & safety and training compliance under the guidance of our experienced consultants.
*Attend all required project and client Safety Meetings & Toolbox Talks.
*Foster and maintain positive client and SafCan Safety Solutions Ltd. operational relationships.
Requirements
Minimum of 1 years Health and Safety experience in an industrial setting
Knowledge of the Alberta Occupational Health Act, Regulation & Code
A recognized Occupational Health and Safety designation preferred (NCSO, OH&S, etc.)
Proficient in use of Microsoft suite of tools & able to work extensively with a laptop.
Clean Class 5 driver’s license
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Self-motivated & detail oriented
